Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to each patient's treatment.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support when patients experience trauma-related emergencies or acute mental health challenges.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, ensuring they have access to essential resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At Highland Rivers Counseling, you will primarily work with individuals who are dealing with the aftermath of trauma, including those battling Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your empathetic approach and specialized training will enable you to offer effective support, helping clients process their experiences and work towards recovery in a safe and understanding environment.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure, such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Kansas.
