Work Environment\n

This position offers a unique work setting that combines the modern convenience of remote telehealth sessions with the personable aspect of face-to-face interaction at our outpatient office in Webster. Our hours of operation are designed to accommodate a variety of schedules, extending from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, ensuring that we can meet our clients' needs whenever they arise. Additionally, our supportive administration team assists with scheduling and client service, allowing counselors to focus on what they do best: helping clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Atascosa, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's unique trauma history and inform treatment strategies.

• Developing and executing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and cultivate effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other health professionals, to provide integrated care for our patients.

• Providing crisis intervention and emotional support in trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses and available resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations and professional development focused on trauma-informed care.

• Staying current on best practices and advancements in trauma therapy.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
