Embrace Life Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to provide specialized support to individuals recovering from trauma, ensuring they receive the highest quality of mental health care in a supportive environment.

Work Environment\n

Our remote work setting allows you the flexibility to provide care while being part of a dedicated team of professionals. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some schedule flexibility based on patient needs. Although primarily remote, this position requires a strong connection to the team and active participation in virtual case consultations and team meetings.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment approaches.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience building, adapting strategies based on ongoing patient response.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to enable patients to process their trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and engage in healing practices.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for all patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional stability.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources for continued support.
\n
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
\n
• Participate actively in professional development activities and stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.
\n Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, violence, and other distressing life events. Our clients often present with complex mental health issues stemming from their trauma histories, requiring you to employ a nuanced understanding of trauma-informed care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
\n
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
\n
• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies focused on trauma recovery.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills that foster trust and rapport with patients.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, ideally with a focus on trauma-related therapies.

• Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

• A background in implementing trauma-focused interventions and a commitment to ongoing professional development in the field.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and credentials. Our benefits package includes:
