Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health assessments, documenting all relevant information from initial consultations to treatment conclusions.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, drawing on comprehensive interview techniques and observation.
\n
• Design and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy and dynamic group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to promote recovery.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, primary care physicians, and social workers to ensure comprehensive client care.
\n
• Assist in managing referrals to other healthcare professionals or resources as needed, optimizing the client's path to recovery.

• Provide support to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to enhance their loved ones’ mental health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults facing various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. This diverse population demands cultural competence and adaptability, ensuring that care is respectful and sensitive to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• A passing score on relevant national examinations, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to build rapport and trust with clients.
\n
• Strong clinical insight with extensive experience providing counseling services.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (EHR), preferably AVATAR, to document sessions and manage client records.

• Experience in navigating and addressing co-occurring physical health issues, emotional health conditions, and addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of current best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Familiarity with the pharmacology of mental health medications as prescribed by specialists.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
