Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments through comprehensive preliminary interviews and document findings accurately to inform case management.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to tailor effective treatment strategies.

• Design personalized treatment and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and group settings based on assessment outcomes and ongoing evaluations.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques that cater to clients' specific needs.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout each treatment plan, ensuring responsiveness to changes in their mental health status.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare professionals to integrate care and address complex cases.

• Provide follow-up support for clients transitioning out of hospital environments, ensuring continuity of care and intervention plans remain effective.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and work collaboratively to overcome these challenges, maintaining a focus on holistic wellness.

• Offer guidance and support to families and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage relevant mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse client base that includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and various mental health disorders. We are dedicated to employing culturally sensitive approaches to therapy that recognize the unique backgrounds and experiences of our clients in Buffalo and surrounding areas.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated ability to thrive as a mental health counselor through prior experience in similar settings.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record management systems like AVATAR to maintain accurate and efficient client documentation.

• Understanding of mental health conditions, including co-occurring physical health issues and substance use disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
\n
• Empathetic personality and excellent interpersonal skills to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with diverse clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a telehealth or remote counseling role is highly regarded.

• Experience in community mental health settings that involve collaboration with various stakeholders.

• Knowledge of treatment approaches tailored to specific demographics, including but not limited to children, adolescents, and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
