Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, yielding detailed documentation from the initial client consultation to discharge, ensuring continuity of care.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to develop thorough and effective intervention plans tailored to their unique needs.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and resilience.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary in collaboration with clients and other care providers.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention strategies.

• Follow up with hospital staff and physicians overseeing clients’ care and addressing any concerns regarding clients admitted to inpatient services.
\n
• Proactively identify and mitigate barriers to recovery, employing strategies that foster a supportive environment for clients and their families.

• Engage and support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing behavioral health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your expertise will be utilized to address a broad spectrum of mental health issues, serving individuals, couples, families, and groups who are experienced with varied mental health conditions. The clients you will be working with typically face challenges ranging from anxiety, depression, and trauma to addiction and relationship issues. Your role will be pivotal in empowering clients to overcome their obstacles and achieve sustainable mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Successful completion and passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience as a mental health counselor.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

• Experience working with clients presenting with dual diagnoses or concurrent physical and emotional health challenges.

• Understanding and practical knowledge of addiction disorders and recovery processes.
\n
• Awareness of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong knowledge of various psychotropic medications prescribed by healthcare providers and their potential effects on clients.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex information simply and clearly.
\n
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills characterized by empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence, enabling rapport-building with clients and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
