This position is fully remote, allowing mental health counselors the flexibility to manage their work environment while providing high-quality care to our outpatient clients. Working from home, you will engage in virtual therapy sessions, utilizing secure platforms for client interaction, and electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document and manage client progress. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments, including comprehensive mental health evaluations to understand client needs from their first point of contact through to the conclusion of their treatment.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific emotional, behavioral, and psychological requirements of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating various therapeutic modalities to enhance client engagement and growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress consistently, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective intervention and recovery strategies.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including other mental health specialists, medical professionals, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention plans for clients.

• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring inpatient care, ensuring continuity and appropriateness of care.
\n
• Proactively identify barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate behaviors that may hinder client progress.
\n
• Support families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones, fostering effective communication and coping strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing a broad spectrum of mental health issues. Our clientele often encompasses various challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders, requiring tailored interventions that consider each client's unique background and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts is mandatory.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE) is required.

• Previous experience in a counseling role, with a solid track record of delivering mental health services.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems like AVATAR, ensuring efficient documentation and case management.
\n
• Understanding of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, alongside other underlying health conditions.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and its implications on treatment plans.
\n
• Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in an outpatient setting and familiarity with remote service delivery.
\n
• Ownership of specialized training in particular therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.

• History of engaging in continued education and professional development, demonstrating a commitment to advancing clinical skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and includes a signing bonus as an added incentive.
