Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through preliminary interviews and detailed documentation from the first consultation to the end of treatment, ensuring accurate case histories are maintained.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using evidence-based methodologies to formulate effective intervention strategies.
\n
• Develop tailored treatment and recovery plans for diverse client groups, including individuals, couples, families, and group therapy settings.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to share their experiences and challenges.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care and integrated treatment approaches.

• Conduct follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who have been admitted to hospitals, coordinating further care when needed.

• Recognize and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery while assisting family members and caregivers in managing related challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in working with a broad spectrum of clients facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Arizona.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage patient documentation efficiently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear interaction with clients and collaboration with the healthcare team.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills characterized by a sympathetic, genuine approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating clinical insight and effective counseling practices.

• Knowledge of the effects of commonly prescribed medications and a solid understanding of physical and emotional health conditions.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices to ensure adherence to industry standards.
