Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth initial consultations and interviews to gather comprehensive client histories and assess their mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique situation.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic strategies to support clients through recovery.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate comprehensive care, ensuring communication and coordination of treatment plans.

• Engage in follow-up care and coordinate with psychiatrists and other professionals for clients requiring hospitalization or additional medical support.

• Educate and support clients' families and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and recovery processes.

• Stay abreast of current trends and research in mental health counseling, actively contributing to the development of innovative practices within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselor will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and emotional disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong understanding of electronic health record systems, particularly familiarity with AVATAR.
\n
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating proficiency in therapy practice and client management.

• Experience addressing various psychological conditions and addiction disorders, with a robust understanding of the interaction between physical health and mental well-being.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidance.

• Comprehensive awareness of medication implications prescribed by other healthcare providers.

• Empathetic interpersonal skills that foster strong therapeutic alliances with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
