Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial interviews and document case history to create a comprehensive understanding of client needs from the outset of therapy.

• Assess and evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional well-being using validated tools and methodologies.
\n
• Design and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans following best practices, tailored to meet the unique objectives of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and progress.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health specialists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care and comprehensive support.

• Provide follow-up communication with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for clients requiring further medical intervention, ensuring a holistic approach to care.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, employing preventive strategies and supportive interventions.

• Offer guidance and resources to family members and primary caregivers, assisting them in navigating mental health challenges together with loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population that includes children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance use disorders. Your empathetic approach combined with professional expertise will play a vital role in guiding them through their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful passing of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a thorough understanding of therapeutic practices.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to streamline patient documentation and communication.
\n
• A thorough understanding of various mental health conditions, including co-occurring disorders involving addiction and physical health issues.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with exceptional interpersonal skills to foster trust and openness in client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in working with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care solutions.

• Proficient in leading therapeutic group sessions and managing group dynamics effectively.

• Previous training or experience in specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.

Compensation and Benefits\n
