Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews that assess the client’s emotional, behavioral, and psychological state.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, aligned with their goals for recovery.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and conduct group therapy interventions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Monitor patient progress diligently and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other professionals including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers to formulate cohesive intervention strategies.

• Support and educate family members about mental health challenges and recovery strategies to enhance the client’s support network.

• Utilize electronic health record systems efficiently to maintain accurate documentation and follow-up care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW within the state of Florida.
\n
• A successful score on either the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in managing electronic health records, particularly with systems such as AVATAR.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, ideally in a community health clinic environment.

• Experience working with clients facing substance use issues, co-occurring disorders, or other complex medical conditions.

• Knowledge of the best practices set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and familiarity with medication effects prescribed by physicians.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside excellent interpersonal abilities to foster trust and rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience, alongside a competitive sign-on bonus.
