Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, documenting detailed case histories that inform the therapeutic process from initial consultation through to treatment completion.

• Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that foster understanding, healing, and skill-building for clients.

• Closely monitor client progress throughout the treatment planning process, adjusting approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate on care strategies with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, medical professionals, nurses, and social workers, to ensure integrated care delivery.

• Follow up with healthcare providers regarding clients who have been hospitalized, and proactively address any emerging behavioral issues.

• Assist families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, equipping them with practical resources and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• Successful completion of national examinations, including the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing effective assessment and intervention skills.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health records, particularly with systems like AVATAR, to maintain accurate client documentation and facilitate communication.
\n
• A deep understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders, and their impact on mental health.
\n
• Up-to-date knowledge on American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities that foster trust and rapport.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in community health settings is advantageous, as it helps in understanding the unique challenges faced by our clients.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and cultural competence in therapy is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with a potential sign-on bonus depending on experience and qualifications.
