Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify client concerns and establish tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs.

• Facilitate individualized therapy sessions employing evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to assist clients in developing coping strategies and achieving their mental health goals.

• Offer crisis intervention and emotional support to clients experiencing distress, prioritizing their safety and well-being during critical moments.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive comprehensive and holistic care, participating in case consultations and team meetings.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions and progress, adhering to ethical and legal standards pertinent to the mental health profession.

• Engage in continuous professional development by attending training and workshops focused on the latest trends and best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals, couples, and families facing various emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our diverse client base reflects the rich cultural fabric of Salinas, and you will have the chance to practice cultural competence, ensuring that all clients receive respectful and affirming care suitable to their backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience working with clients facing a range of emotional issues is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

In this full-time role, you can expect an attractive salary between USD 78,000 and 115,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, counselors working full-time are eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend to support their well-being.
