Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify client concerns and co-create effective, individualized treatment plans.

• Facilitate engaging one-on-one therapy sessions, applying evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, tailored to each client's needs.

• Provide crisis intervention services for clients in distress, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being while maintaining confidentiality.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to integrate care and enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and secure electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards, while documenting client progress and treatment adjustments.

• Participate in regular professional development opportunities to stay current with mental health best practices and new therapeutic methodologies.

• Contribute to program development and improvement initiatives by providing insights from your clinical work and client feedback.

• Advocate for clients by connecting them with additional resources and support services within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Sunflower Mental Health Counseling Center, you will work with clients of varied backgrounds, addressing common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship dynamics, and more. Your role is vital in empowering clients to overcome their struggles and achieve their personal goals, fostering their mental wellness and resilience within our community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of California.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in clinical practice providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families facing emotional challenges.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and a strong understanding of compliance standards within the mental health field.

• Demonstrated commitment to cultural competency, inclusivity, and the provision of affirming care.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We believe in recognizing the hard work of our counselors by offering a competitive salary ranging from USD 78,000 to 115,000 annually. In addition to a comprehensive and competitive compensation package, full-time staff are eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend and enjoy complimentary access to our services as clients while active with our organization.
