Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate your patients' histories, identifying their unique needs and determining suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Devise individualized treatment plans tailored to support each patient’s journey through trauma recovery and the development of coping strategies.
\n
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy formats.

• Facilitate supportive group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma and foster a sense of community and shared healing.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinical professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies when they arise in patient circumstances.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to enhance understanding and recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards to ensure the safety and privacy of all patient data.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to review treatment progress and learn from colleagues about best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals who are navigating the complexities of trauma, particularly those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your skillset will serve a diverse client population, providing them with the tailored support and therapeutic interventions needed to promote healing and resilience. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and a compassionate, culturally competent approach is essential for their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C within the state of Maryland.

• Proven experience of at least 2 years post-licensure in providing mental health therapy focusing on trauma recovery.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and colleagues, exhibiting empathy and understanding.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, enabling seamless documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits\n
