Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories accurately.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific needs and focus on facilitating trauma recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting overall psychological well-being.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care tailored to each patient's needs.

• Be prepared to deliver crisis intervention support during urgent trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, providing vital resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate records of patient interactions and treatment.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training sessions aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Keep abreast of advancements in trauma therapy research and best practices, implementing new insights into your clinical work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support individuals impacted by trauma. Our patient demographic includes a diverse range of individuals who may exhibit symptoms of PTSD, complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and associated mental health challenges. You will work closely with patients to foster a therapeutic relationship that promotes trust and facilitates meaningful recovery. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess a current and valid licensure such as LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT, or PsyD within the state of Maryland.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in trauma-informed settings.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, resilience-building methods, and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to patient care.

• Ability to manage high-stress scenarios calmly and effectively.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and requisite computer applications.
\n
• Capacity to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in trauma-informed care approaches and familiarity with various therapeutic interventions specific to trauma recovery will be an asset. Previous work in outpatient settings and knowledge of community resources will enhance your effectiveness in this role and contribute significantly to patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
