This position is entirely remote, which provides flexibility while maintaining a structured approach to client care. You will connect with clients through teletherapy sessions, allowing you to work comfortably from home while still delivering essential mental health services. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and evaluations to understand clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

• Document detailed case histories and observations from initial consultation through treatment completion, ensuring comprehensive client records.
\n
• Design and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for diverse client groups, including individuals, couples, families, and therapeutic groups.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions sensitively, employing a range of techniques to address various mental health issues effectively.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress throughout treatment, adapting plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers—such as psychiatrists and social workers—on integrated care initiatives.
\n
• Engage with family members and caregivers, offering guidance on managing challenges and fostering supportive home environments.
\n
• Stay informed about recent developments in psychotherapy trends and methodologies to enrich the therapeutic experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population of clients who may experience anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other mental health disorders. Your sensitivity and adaptive strategies will empower clients to overcome obstacles and enhance their mental resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR and maintaining accurate client documentation.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, alongside excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of professional counseling experience in a mental health setting.
\n
• Experience dealing with clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and the interaction of various prescribed medications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
