Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, observing clients' behavioral and emotional health to establish a comprehensive understanding of their needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for various client demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and group therapy settings.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, both individually and in groups, employing evidence-based practices while monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive intervention plans are consistently maintained.

• Provide follow-up and aftercare for clients transitioning from inpatient services, coordinating care with primary physicians and psychiatrists to support continuity of care.

• Proactively identify behaviors that hinder recovery and provide guidance to clients and their families on managing these challenges effectively.

• Document all client interactions and treatment progress in a timely manner using our electronic health record system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served by Sensational Sunshine Behavioral Health range from adolescents to adults facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You'll be expected to approach each client with understanding and empathy, fostering a therapeutic alliance that encourages open communication and trust.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid state license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients quickly.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor that showcases your ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and methodologies.

• Experience using electronic health record systems, with a preference for knowledge of AVATAR.

• In-depth understanding of the psychological and physiological impacts of both prescribed medications and addiction disorders.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary range of USD $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus.
