Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including initial interviews, and create thorough documentation from the onset of treatment through discharge.

• Utilize assessment tools to evaluate and interpret clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions.
\n
• Design targeted intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring alignment with best practices in mental health care.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to promote healing and growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, allowing for adjustments as needed to optimize health outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals and healthcare providers to create coherent intervention strategies, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
\n
• Communicate frequently with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify and mitigate behavioral patterns that may hinder recovery, providing strategies and interventions to overcome these challenges.

• Offer guidance to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with practical strategies to navigate mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various emotional and behavioral disorders. Our clients often present with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance use disorders. Your role will be pivotal in helping these individuals achieve their therapeutic goals and enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• Proof of successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Prior experience as a mental health counselor or in a related clinical role.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, for documentation and client management.
\n
• A strong understanding of various mental health disorders and therapeutic methodologies, particularly in managing dual-diagnosis cases involving substance use and mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth understanding of the pharmacological impact of medications prescribed by medical professionals, particularly in relation to mental health.

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong interpersonal abilities to foster positive therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, reflective of experience and professional qualifications.
