Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through preliminary interviews to document patients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the first consultation through to the end of treatment.

• Create individualized treatment and intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote mental wellness.
\n
• Monitor patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary and providing ongoing support to facilitate recovery.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, doctors, nurses, and social workers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Engage with hospital staff by following up on clients who have been admitted for acute care, providing seamless continuity of care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to address and prevent setbacks.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the behavioral challenges tied to their loved ones' conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at Union Family Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse set of clients, including individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will play a crucial role in empowering clients from various backgrounds to achieve their mental health goals through tailored treatment and support. By focusing on evidence-based practices, you help clients navigate their personal challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR.
\n
• Solid understanding and experience with physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
\n
• A compassionate approach to counseling, with an innate ability to relate to clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, ideally in outpatient or community-based settings.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their interplay with mental health conditions.

Our competitive compensation package includes an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, accompanied by a welcoming sign-on bonus.
