Key Responsibilities\n

• Assess patients’ trauma histories through comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health evaluations.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to offer effective interventions.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at assisting patients in processing their trauma and cultivating healing paths.

• Engage collaboratively with psychiatrists and healthcare providers to deliver integrated, holistic care to patients.

• Provide essential crisis intervention support, responding promptly during emergency situations related to trauma.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, recovery strategies, and available support resources.

• Document all interactions and treatment details accurately, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and experience with trauma-informed treatment techniques.
