Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' history and needs, tailoring treatment approaches accordingly.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, resilience building, and overall mental health improvement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to foster patient healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating safe spaces for patients to share their experiences and develop coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating strong crisis management skills.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, providing them resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to further enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research related to trauma therapy and communicate this information to the team to improve treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a key member of our clinical team, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals who have experienced trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma. Your approaches will reflect sensitivity to the cultural, social, and personal contexts of each patient, allowing for a deeper understanding of their experiences. You will guide patients in their healing processes through compassionate listening, validation, and personalized therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a dedication to maintaining a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, we value candidates who can demonstrate commitment to trauma recovery through clinical work, volunteer experiences, or continuing education. Familiarity with trauma-focused therapeutic practices and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations will greatly enhance your capability to succeed in this role.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
