Work Environment\n

This role is predominantly remote, offering you the flexibility to work from home while contributing to our outpatient services. The work setting fosters autonomy and flexibility, allowing you to manage your time effectively while ensuring the needs of our patients are met. Your regular work hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient schedules and urgent needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients’ trauma histories and guide treatment planning.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and individual patient needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process trauma, build coping strategies, and promote overall mental health.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care approach, ensuring comprehensive support for patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support effectively during trauma-related emergencies to stabilize situations and provide immediate care.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, thereby enhancing their understanding and engagement in the healing process.

• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Actively participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient care and further enhance trauma-informed practices across our services.

• Stay informed of the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continually enhance clinical skills and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position involves working primarily with a diverse population of trauma survivors, including adults and adolescents, who are facing challenges related to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will not only involve therapeutic intervention but also provide education and resources to empower patients as they navigate their unique recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey, allowing you to practice and deliver mental health services.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, showcasing your ability to work effectively with trauma survivors.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies effectively, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach in all interactions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with the healthcare team.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications required for maintaining patient documentation.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

Preferred Experience\n

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in trauma-focused therapies and be adept at using various therapeutic frameworks to cater to individual patient needs. Previous experience in a telehealth or remote therapy setting is a plus, given the nature of our services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
