Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments, exploring patients' trauma backgrounds to tailor appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group settings.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that nurture an environment of support and empowerment, allowing patients to share experiences and develop coping skills.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of holistic care for patients.

• Actively provide crisis intervention and support during moments of traumatic distress or emergencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily serve trauma survivors, including those with complex PTSD, allowing you to engage directly with clients seeking healing from profound emotional and psychological distress. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and may present a range of needs rooted in traumatic experiences, thus requiring an understanding of their unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
