Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, strengths, and needs in order to tailor appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that emphasize recovery milestones, trauma processing, and resilience-building techniques.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adapting modalities as necessary to fit patient requirements.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and cultivating interpersonal relationships.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to mental health care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, managing symptoms, and connecting them to relevant resources and support systems.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress and treatment efficacy.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous education to enhance knowledge and practice of trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and practices in the field of trauma therapy to provide the most effective care possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including all ages and backgrounds who may be struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients may have diverse experiences and needs, necessitating a holistic and tailored approach to therapy that encompasses their unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.
\n
• Strong theoretical understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client care.

• Adept in using EHR systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience specifically in trauma therapy.

• Demonstrated success in delivering trauma-focused therapy interventions and a solid understanding of resilience-building strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
