Key Responsibilities\n

Your primary responsibilities as a mental health therapist will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.

• Creating individualized treatment plans that target trauma recovery and resilience-building, tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions that assist clients in processing their trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and promoting emotional healing.

• Coordinating care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive integrated, holistic support.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to mitigate immediate patient needs.

• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available therapeutic resources.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Engaging in regular case consultations and team meetings to collaborate on patient care and share knowledge of trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. Our diverse client population includes adults and adolescents facing challenges related to PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders stemming from traumatic experiences. Your empathetic and informed approach will be vital in helping clients navigate their paths to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within California.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, as well as an understanding of resilience-building techniques.

• Ability to deliver effective trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Capability to remain composed in high-stress situations and adapt to dynamic patient needs.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and software applications relevant to clinical practice.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of experience is required, candidates with specialized training in trauma-informed care or certifications in modalities like EMDR or TF-CBT will be highly regarded. Experience in outpatient settings or with culturally diverse populations is also advantageous.
