Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, strengths, and areas needing support, ensuring a holistic understanding of their needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and a client-centered approach.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using therapeutic techniques to help clients process trauma, build coping strategies, and foster overall well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, equipping them with tools to navigate challenges beyond therapy.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• An accredited Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this licensed mental health therapist position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
