Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for remote work, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our clinical team and clients. Our outpatient facility is designed to ensure confidentiality and comfort for all clients as they attend therapy sessions, either in person when needed or through virtual consultations. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist specializing in trauma-informed care, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand clients' histories and formulate effective treatment approaches.

• Collaborating with clients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to support clients in processing trauma and developing coping strategies.
\n
• Working in tandem with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to ensure integrated care and comprehensive support for each client.
\n
• Offering crisis intervention and support as needed during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participating in case consultations and professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will be centered around clients grappling with trauma-related issues, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The clinic serves a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults, each facing unique challenges in their recovery journey. Your role will be instrumental in helping them reclaim their lives through compassionate, informed care.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling services, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care.

• Proficiency in trauma-focused therapeutic techniques and interventions.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and understanding in all client interactions.

• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, ensuring a supportive environment for clients in crisis.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and a strong technological aptitude.
\n
• A collaborative spirit for seamless teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
