Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that comprehensively evaluate each patient's trauma history, aiding in the formulation of appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness, tailoring approaches to individual needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively guide patients through their healing process.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma narratives, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals to maintain an integrated care approach, ensuring holistic support for every patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping patients with immediate tools for safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping mechanisms, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring quality care and accountability.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve individuals grappling with traumatic experiences, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Your empathetic and knowledgeable approach will allow you to create effective therapeutic alliances that encourage healing and personal empowerment. Each patient is viewed holistically as you address their mental health needs through trauma-informed care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications to manage patient documentation effectively.

• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.

• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress situations.
\n
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering comprehensive care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing therapy within a clinical setting, with a preference for candidates with a background in trauma-focused therapies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
