This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, while focusing on the critical needs of individuals affected by trauma. The therapist will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mental health care, utilizing specialized interventions to help patients navigate their healing journey.

Work Environment\n

This position is predominantly remote, allowing the therapist to provide care from the comfort of their home. However, the role will also involve collaboration with a dedicated team of professionals in an outpatient office setting. The work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs and schedules. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a professional and confidential atmosphere in all interactions with clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient’s unique trauma history and emotional needs.

• Develop and execute tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, acquire effective coping mechanisms, and promote their overall healing journey.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other multidisciplinary team members to provide integrated, holistic care for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings as well as ongoing training focused on the latest trauma-informed care methodologies.
\n
• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves individuals who are experiencing the effects of various types of trauma, including childhood trauma, interpersonal violence, and other significant life stressors. Our therapists are trained to understand the complexities of trauma responses and the path to recovery, thereby providing compassionate support to help patients regain control over their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience post-licensure in a related mental health setting is required.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-focused interventions.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward clients.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with related software applications.
\n
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment to achieve integrated patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with trauma-focused therapies, including but not limited to EMDR and TF-CBT.
\n
• Familiarity with diverse populations and the cultural competencies required to deliver effective care.
\n
• Prior work in outpatient settings dealing with complex mental health issues.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
