This full-time remote position offers the unique opportunity to provide essential support and specialized mental health care to individuals who are navigating the complexities of trauma.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, with the understanding that some aspects of the role may necessitate occasional visits to our outpatient facility for collaborative care or training purposes. Expect a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some Saturday availability possible, based on patient needs and team consultations. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and identify personalized treatment strategies.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in individual and group settings.

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and foster healing within a shared community.

• Engage in continuous collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to enhance comprehensive care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective care.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, fostering a deeper understanding of mental health.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focusing on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research, emerging practices, and tools in the field of trauma therapy to continuously enhance clinical effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals significantly affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. You will be integral in guiding patients through their recovery journey, utilizing individualized treatment approaches that empower healing and resilience. Our clients are diverse, and you will need to demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity in addressing a range of backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Certified (LCSW-C) in the state of Kansas.

• Skills: Exceptional knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective treatment modalities tailored to trauma recovery.

• Characteristics: Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor that fosters trust and engagement with clients.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable utilizing various computer applications pertinent to mental health documentation.

• Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary framework.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting is preferred. Experience specifically in trauma-focused therapies is highly advantageous and will significantly enhance your ability to serve our patient population effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
