Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for adults, focusing on therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Perform comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to inform treatment plans and identify appropriate interventions.

• Provide clients with coping strategies, social skills development, and anger management techniques to reduce risk behaviors, including self-injurious actions and physical aggression.

• Work collaboratively with adults and, when applicable, their caretakers to enhance decision-making skills for managing behavioral challenges at home.

• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all client interactions, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes following organizational protocols.

• Participate in monthly team meetings and submit weekly paperwork to maintain compliance with clinic policies and procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse array of adults who face varying mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is mandatory.

• Previous experience working in outpatient therapy settings is preferred.

• Competency in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.

• Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) for accurate assessments and diagnoses.

• Skills in providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies.
