Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand the unique needs, backgrounds, and trauma histories of each patient.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans focusing on recovery, resilience, and the specific goals of each individual.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting interactions that help clients process trauma and develop coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, empowering them to take part in their healing journeys.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings focused on advancing trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals navigating the complexities of trauma-related disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clientele may consist of both adults and adolescents, each presenting unique challenges and needs in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, particularly focusing on trauma-informed care.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and associated treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.

• Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations, providing clear guidance and support to patients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
