Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately gauge the severity and nature of clients' mood disorder symptoms, enabling informed treatment decisions.

• Partner with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their goals, preferences, and specific circumstances, adapting as needed throughout the therapeutic process.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and treatment options, equipping them with practical self-care strategies.

• Monitor and track client progress, implementing necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate intensively with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring a holistic approach to each client’s mental health needs.

• Stay informed about recent research, methodologies, and best practices in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance your clinical expertise.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, including session notes, treatment plans, and assessments.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the professional growth of yourself and your colleagues.

• Serve as an advocate for clients, working to destigmatize mental health disorders and promote mental well-being in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with primarily include individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clientele is diverse, encompassing various backgrounds and experiences, each requiring an individualized approach to care. Your empathetic and knowledgeable support will play a crucial role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Understanding of California state laws and professional ethics relevant to mental health practice.
\n
• Ability to pass a background check through the FBI and DOJ, ensuring a safe environment for all clients.

• Completion of a recent TB test (within the last 6 months) to comply with health and safety regulations.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in mental health counseling is preferred, with demonstrated proficiency in treating learning disabilities, behavioral issues, and emotional disorders.

• A strong background in client assessments, treatment planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration within an outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Heartlight Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range between USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
