Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, aligning with modern practices to accommodate both the needs of our patients and our team members. Although remote, collaboration is key; you will engage with a closely-knit team of psychiatrists and fellow therapists to provide updated and innovative care for our clients. While our standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility in scheduling may be required to best meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

  Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual needs and circumstances.

  Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy formats.

  Facilitate therapy sessions that help patients process their trauma experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and promote healing through guided discussions and therapeutic exercises.

  Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care, coordinating broadly on treatment plans.

  Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, helping them navigate their healing journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist in this role will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, emphasizing a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the different ways trauma can affect mental health. Our client base includes individuals struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, and you will be expected to tailor your therapeutic approaches to best fit each patient's unique background and therapeutic needs.

  A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of New Jersey is essential.

  A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, showcasing your capability to manage complex cases effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
