Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and formulate tailored treatment approaches.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and building resilience through evidence-based modalities.

• Offering therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate deep emotional processing and healing.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma, cultivating coping strategies, and promoting overall well-being.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated, holistic care tailored to patients' needs.

• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely support and guidance is available.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and resources for continued support.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced varying levels of trauma and often present with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will enable you to guide them on their healing journey, empowering them to develop effective coping mechanisms and resilience. Building trusting therapeutic relationships with your clients is essential, as many individuals in this population may have previously encountered negative experiences with mental health services.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
