Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Quail Run Health System, you will:

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate the patient's trauma history and inform treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience, and empowerment.

• Utilize evidence-based approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate therapy sessions where clients can learn coping mechanisms, process their trauma, and promote healing in a supportive environment.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care tailored to the patient's comprehensive needs.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, preparing to respond effectively to immediate needs.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and the extensive resources available within the community.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of client progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, including those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. You will work with a diverse population across various demographics, providing culturally competent care to every individual and helping them navigate their unique recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
