In this full-time, remote position, you will provide specialized mental health care tailored to individuals who have experienced trauma. Work Environment\n

This position is executed in a telehealth setting, allowing for flexible scheduling to meet the diverse needs of our patients. While our core work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility in scheduling will be essential to accommodate individual patient requirements, ensuring that we deliver the highest quality of mental health care. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history, develop an understanding of their needs, and tailor appropriate treatment approaches.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that specifically address trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health improvement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients effectively process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and pursue healing and personal growth.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other members of the healthcare team to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to foster informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed care delivery.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will work primarily with individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including complex trauma responses and dissociative disorders. Our focus lies on understanding each patient’s unique experiences and tailoring our therapeutic approaches to support their specific recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is necessary to practice.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop trusting therapeutic relationships in a remote setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a related mental health setting is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building approaches.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
