This position is structured as a remote role, permitting flexibility while maintaining a sense of team collaboration. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ histories, needs, and trauma experiences, allowing you to tailor treatment effectively.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on recovery, personal growth, and resilience, ensuring alignment with the best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate therapeutic sessions that instruct clients in processing their trauma, establishing healthy coping strategies, and achieving progress in their recovery goals.

• Actively collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate holistic care for patients, ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, displaying expertise and calmness under pressure.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and accessible community resources.
\n
• Accurately document patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training tailored to trauma-informed care practices.

• Continuously update your skills and knowledgebase in trauma therapy through research and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on clients who are trauma survivors, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our patients may have faced significant life challenges such as abuse, loss, and significant life changes. Your role is crucial in empowering these individuals to confront their experiences and foster pathways to healing in a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and familiarity with computer applications relevant to mental health practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, particularly in trauma-focused therapies.

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting, specifically working with trauma survivors and implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
