Work Environment\n

This role primarily involves remote work, allowing for flexibility while maintaining regular office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While most sessions will be conducted virtually, some in-person interactions may occur, depending on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed assessments to gather essential information about patients' trauma histories, strengths, and challenges that inform treatment planning.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, addressing the distinct needs of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in therapeutic sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to process their trauma and develop coping mechanisms.

• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and cohesive treatment approaches for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel validated and safe.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available mental health resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights from your unique experiences and perspectives.

• Stay current on advancements in trauma-informed care through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients whose lives have been profoundly affected by trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals reclaim their narratives, build resilience, and foster a sense of hope and empowerment as they navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within the state of New York.

• Understanding of trauma-related disorders and the application of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a nurturing and empathetic approach.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable using technology to manage patient information.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma interventions preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
