Work Environment\n

In your role, you will be part of a flexible and collaborative remote team designed to meet the needs of patients across various settings. The work schedule generally runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adaptability required in response to patient availability or crises. Our outpatient office framework supports a balanced workload while allowing for interactive team engagements and the sharing of best practices within a trauma-informed care model.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' histories and inform tailored treatment approaches.

• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience building, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients unravel and process traumatic experiences while equipping them with effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and support staff, to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during emergency situations relating to trauma.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, community resources, and self-care techniques.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical regulations, ensuring clarity and continuity of care.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on the latest advancements in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about emerging research and best practices concerning trauma therapy to continually enhance your clinical offerings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals impacted by various forms of trauma including psychological distress from abusive experiences, chronic stress, and life-altering events. Through personalized treatment approaches, you will significantly contribute to their resilience and recovery, transforming lives affected by trauma into stories of strength and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is highly preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, empathetic demeanor.

• Ability to stay composed in high-stress situations and respond to crises with professionalism.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and competency in basic computer applications.

• Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care.

We value clinicians with lived experience or additional training in trauma-informed practices, as well as familiarity with community resources and support networks valuable to our client base. Experience in online therapy modalities can be an asset as we provide both in-person and remote services.

Compensation and Benefits\n
