Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s trauma history and psychological state, establishing personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate trauma recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall emotional healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and integrated care for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring they receive timely assistance and care.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and provide information on coping mechanisms and resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.

• Participate in professional development activities and case consultations related to trauma-informed care to constantly improve and refine your therapeutic skills.

• Stay informed on the latest research in trauma therapy, ensuring practices remain current and evidence-based.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals coping with the repercussions of trauma, including survivors of domestic violence, abuse, and other traumatic life events. Our patient population often includes those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders, requiring a therapist who is empathetic, patient, and skilled in trauma-focused techniques.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care and therapeutic modalities designed to support trauma recovery.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations, ensuring patients feel safe and supported.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in using relevant software and tools for document management and patient interaction.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a trauma-focused environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
