Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments, thoroughly evaluating patients' trauma history to tailor effective treatment approaches.

• Develop, implement, and continuously adapt individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and building resilience.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing trauma, mastering coping strategies, and fostering personal healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, employing therapeutic techniques to stabilize patients.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, ensuring they are aware of available resources.

• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation aligned with legal and ethical standards to promote effective care transitions.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development seminars focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Caring Companions, you will work with a diverse clientele, primarily focusing on individuals suffering from various trauma-related disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and a general comfort level with computer applications.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and effectively manage high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
