Family Wise Counseling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work remotely while providing essential mental health services to individuals navigating trauma and its repercussions. As a key member of our specialized team, you will engage with clients facing challenges such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders.

This position is designed to be fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. However, you will remain an integral part of our community health clinic, maintaining close collaboration with fellow professionals. Our clinic operates in Columbus, Georgia, serving a diverse population seeking mental health support. Regular communication with your colleagues will ensure a collaborative approach to client care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' history and current mental health status, aiding in the identification of appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, focusing on trauma recovery and fostering resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate client progress.
\n
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their experiences, learn effective coping strategies, and support their healing journey.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care plan that addresses all facets of a client's well-being.
\n
• Provide timely crisis intervention and on-call support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to empower them in their journey.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities that emphasize trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in trauma therapy practices and contribute to continuous quality improvement within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals who have experienced trauma and are struggling with its impacts, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our clients have faced significant life challenges, and your role as a therapist will be pivotal in guiding them through the healing process. We value cultural competence and sensitivity, as our client base reflects a rich diversity of backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidenced-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage clients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.

• Ability to thrive in high-stress situations, maintaining calmness and focus.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting, demonstrating collaboration and respect for colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly within trauma-focused therapy.
\n
• Demonstrated experience utilizing trauma-informed interventions and therapies.
\n
• Familiarity with current research and best practices in mental health treatment.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
