Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, psychological needs, and determine suitable treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to explore emotional responses, practice coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure continuous and integrated care tailored to patient needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-induced emergencies, demonstrating a calm and composed presence.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources for recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical standards, and organizational policies.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on maintaining a trauma-informed perspective.

• Stay current with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic offerings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population consists of individuals dealing with trauma and its aftermath, including those facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Colorado.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders, as well as trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and experience using computer applications relevant to virtual therapy.
