Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients’ trauma history, utilizing validated assessment tools to tailor appropriate treatment approaches.

• Develop and articulate individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience, aligning intervention strategies with patient goals.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring treatment fidelity and effectiveness.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to process their trauma experiences, develop coping strategies, and enhance their overall emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, enhancing interdisciplinary communication and integrated treatment strategies.

• Respond to crisis situations by providing timely interventions and support during trauma-related emergencies, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Engage in educational efforts by informing patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring thorough documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and regular professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus encompasses a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will play a key role in supporting these individuals as they navigate their recovery journeys, contributing significantly to their improved mental health outcomes and overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to instill trust and rapport with patients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While we require at least 2 years of post-licensure experience, candidates with a strong background in trauma-focused therapy and interventions will be especially highly regarded. Experience working with diverse clientele and an understanding of various cultural contexts in mental health are also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
