Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gauge patients' histories of trauma and craft tailored treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building, employing the latest evidence-based modalities.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver effective individual and group therapy sessions.

• Provide crisis intervention services, supporting patients during trauma-related emergencies and helping them navigate immediate emotional distress.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure comprehensive care for patients, coordinating efforts with psychiatrists and other professionals.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to foster understanding and empowerment.

• Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in patient records.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on enhancing trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with trauma survivors, including individuals coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will provide vital support to patients from diverse backgrounds, helping them to process their experiences and develop effective coping mechanisms in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia is required.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building approaches.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to foster trust and rapport with patients.

• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n
