This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work location while connecting with patients through telehealth services. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments, focusing on understanding each patient’s unique trauma history.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate the best practices for trauma recovery and build resilience in patients.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma and cultivating effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive and synchronized care for all patients.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a strong focus on patient safety.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, ensuring they are aware of resources that can aid in their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage in case consultations, contribute to team meetings, and participate in ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including, but not limited to, those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This position requires an understanding of the intricate ways in which trauma can impact mental health, as well as a compassionate approach to patient care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and a keen interest in trauma-informed treatment practices.

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for meaningful engagement with patients.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, ideally with a focus on trauma-related therapies.

• Proficiency in evidence-based trauma-focused therapies and demonstrated experience in crisis intervention.

• A proven ability to remain calm and collected in high-stress situations, adapting response strategies to patient needs.
