Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s unique trauma history and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Create and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on fostering resilience and promoting trauma recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in your sessions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through their healing process and helping them develop useful coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with our team of psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care and optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive the emergency care they need.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma response and effective coping strategies, empowering them with knowledge for their recovery journeys.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards via our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to continuous improvement and learning in trauma-informed practices.

• Stay updated on the latest research and methodologies in the field of trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals impacted by various forms of trauma. This includes those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders. You will work closely with a diverse range of patients, fostering a supportive environment that respects their experiences and encourages healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in a trauma-focused setting.
\n
• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with various trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach toward patients.

• Strong capability to maintain composure during high-stress situations and provide calm, effective support.

• Proficient in EHR systems and related technology to ensure efficient administration of patient records.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in trauma-focused therapies is highly desirable, particularly in applying techniques such as EMDR and TF-CBT. Proven ability to effectively facilitate group therapy is a plus, demonstrating versatility in therapeutic settings.
