Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to effectively evaluate patients' mental health conditions and trauma histories, ensuring precise diagnosis and treatment planning.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that leverage therapeutic modalities specifically designed for trauma recovery, focusing on resilience building.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions that assist patients in processing their trauma, cultivating coping strategies, and encouraging emotional healing.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to deliver seamless, integrated care for our patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support in trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating the ability to maintain composure and empathy under pressure.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation while adhering to all ethical and legal standards of practice.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay current on trauma-informed care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals coping with the effects of trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and range in age, requiring therapists to be adaptable and culturally competent in their approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid state licensure such as LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW is essential.

• Demonstrable knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems is mandatory for effective documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n
